Participating in the International Wire and Cable Exhibition
On September 13, 2011, Assistant General Manager He Maodong led a four-member delegation to Thailand Bangkok, to participate in the international cable and wire exhibition. Exhibition is in Thailand Bangkok International Trade and Exhibition Centre, it held for a period of three days and our booth number is F24. In the Exhibition so many visitors came to us. Most of the visitors were interested in our DLO cables, PV cables and fiber composite cables, and we provide customers with details.
Thailand is still a primary industry based in developing countries, it is rich and self-sufficient in their agricultural and forestry resources. But infrastructure is still relatively backward. Government do not value the construction of public facilities highly enough, through the windows people can see that, the random wires bundled together. It is said that only after the fire, Government realize that the ageing of power lines need to be replaced. For our company, so in such a under-developed region it contains actually the unlimited business opportunities. Cause of the underdevelopment of industry, 4 large cable factory have 90% market shares, the other cable factories are mostly small workshop without technology.
Reference to the successful experience with customers in Indonesia, We can use this chance, helping the local factories to complete some difficult order with high technical requirement and gradually expand influence from our company in Southeast Asia.
Jordan Exhibition
In late November 2010, He Maodong, Gu Jijie went to Jordan for the 7th Chinese (Jordan) Goods Exhibition held in Amman from Nov 29th to Dec 2nd, and met customers to get information about market situation at local and surrounding areas.
Our booth was arranged in the Electricity and Energy area, with only two cable manufacturers, of which another was Hangzhou Heteng Industrial Co., LTD, which sales wire, acoustics wire, and other small-sized cables. Local people were interested in exhibition, especially at 4 p.m., there were the largest passenger flow. But mostly of those were visitors, and few of them were professional and businessmen. Our booth had more than 50 visitors, who could be divided into the following categories:
1. Businessman. Besides of Jordan traders, there were many visitors from surrounding countries, such as: Iraq, Palestine, Lebanon, Syria, Israel, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, etc. Men from the Middle East and North Africa Lebanon are the most astute businessman.
2. Engineer and technician. Some visitors were on-the-job engineers, who came to our booth mainly to get information about the present situation of Chinese cable industry and our company’s production capacity and scope, and they were very interested in the wind and solar power technology . Engineers generally don’t have the purchasing rights, but from who we could get knowledge on Jordan power system and the local cable works.
3. Other people. In addition to above mentioned businessmen and technician, most visitors had no purpose. They may occasionally passed by, or were attracted to our booth by something, but we gave them equally enthusiastic reception. In the conversation with them, we learned a lot about Jordan and the Arab country’s customs, and some Arab of greetings. A very warm man brought us a learning brochure wrote in English, an English Amman map and some reading articles in both English and Arabic. We appeared more affinity when talking with an Arabic beginning.
This time we prepared much better than last time, we had posters of various products and shown products catalogue using laptop computer
