BNDES, Brazil’s National Development Bank, has provided a loan for transmission projects to connect wind projects in the south of the country to the national grid.
The 389 million euro loan is to build a transmission line in Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, to connect the southern Brazil wind power project to the grid.
According to reports, the transmission line is 1200 km long and runs through 43 cities, which will provide 6.4 GW of clean power for Brazil’s power grid.
